Dynamic Yachts is managed by individuals with a distinguished background in the field of Shipping and Yachting; collectively, their combined marine experience exceeds 110 years. DYM professionals have been and are members of various committees, be it classification societies, flag states, IMO etc, which are great displays of our important role in the development of rules and standards in the maritime industry.

Capt. Gurmeet Ahluwalia

Captain Gurmeet Ahluwalia is the Lead Auditor at Dynamic Yacht Management and joined the company in 2003. Gurmeet’s priorities constantly highlight an unwavering commitment to Safety and Quality in the Yachting industry, always with the highest standards. Within the role of Lead Auditor, he is responsible for the day to day operations and implementation of DYM’s core strategies and principles, ensuring the highest standards of service provided to each client.

Gurmeet started his seaman’s career with Barber Ship Management. During his 16 year tenure at sea, he commanded a variety of cargo, roll-on/roll-off and bulk carrier vessels. His expertise in maritime statutory and regulatory requirements, marine services, technical experience and business management surpass more than two decades of hands-on practice that he brings within his role at DYM.

A Master Mariner by profession, Gurmeet has over 24 years of experience in marine management with 10+ years served as the Head of the Quality and Safety Department of one of the largest US owned shipping companies. Due to his impressive background, he is routinely engaged in contributing to solutions and industry regulatory standards for the maritime trade through various forums such as the SNAME and the IMO.

Gurmeet has been nominated to the IMO STCW committee as a competent person and to date has evaluated the following countries for STCW compliance:

Australia, Bangladesh, Denmark, Greece, Kenya, Myanmar, Oman, Singapore, Trinidad and Tobago.

Capt. PATRICK FALLWELL

Pat is a true seasoned maritime veteran, with over 40 years of experience. He completed his education with a B.S. in Maritime Transportation in 1971 from the Texas Maritime Academy, while simultaneously receiving his USCG Third Mates license. In 1980, he completed his licensing for Master Oceans Unlimited.

Pat served as the Head of Safety, Environment and Security Certification for ABS worldwide; he has represented ABS in IACS committees in regards to the ISM Code and the ISPS Code. In 2005, he was selected as Chairman of the Industry Joint Working Group which involved various industry groups interfacing with Class Societies relative to issues facing the maritime industry and Class Societies regarding safety and security.

CAPT. MARK PERTUISET

Mark has been in the maritime industry for the past 27 years and holds a Master Seagoing Unlimited license. During his sea going career, Mark sailed on various types of vessels, ranging from product tankers to ULCC’s. He served at BIMCO as the Director of their Technical Division (Copenhagen Secretariat), with broad expertise in IMO conventions and protocols affecting the industry.

Mark is also an avid yachtsman; he enjoys sailing his 38 footer racing cruiser and brings his practical and hands-on experience of claim handling to DYM.

ALAN WESTERMAN

Alan specializes in Criminal Investigation and serves as a CI Supervisor and Trainer with an impressive 37 years of experience in the field. He has served an impressive tenure with the U.S. Secret Service with expertise in all aspects of security, emergency and crisis management.

Alan has also been actively involved in implementing the ISPS Code and has conducted numerous on-site vessel surveys, ship security assessments and documented ship security plans to ensure continued compliance with the code. In addition, he also serves as a security consultant and has audited and passed over 380 ship security assessments and plans for Phoenix Vessel Services, (recognized security organization for the Panamian Registry) to date.

Alan has received Letters of Commendation from Presidents Nixon and Reagan, as well as then serving, Vice President Bush, and brings his unique combination of practical security and safety experience to the team.

Doron Zilbershtien

Doron has been active in the marine indstury for more than 31 years, and has been with the cruise industry since the early 1990’s. His experience spans shipyard management, performing guarantee work on various new cruise ships, as well as providing technical assistance related to SOLAS compliance issues.

Doron's vast portfolio ranges from feasibility studies for start-up niche market cruise-lines (including the preparation of business plans, market research, and development of all financial projections data), to project management for ship conversion and ship repairs, studies of security aspects related to port operations and naval architecture-related jobs.

Doron conceived, developed and implemented the concept of an integrated Design/Production Liaison Engineer. This function was created to improve the flow of communication between the design and production teams, and coordinate and oversee the sea trials process.
